Alfa Romeo 4C - one of the stars of the Geneva Motor Show.

GENEVA UPDATE 1 - ALFA ROMEO'S NEW SPORTSCAR

ALFA Romeo caused a stir at Geneva when it pulled off the covers of this new pint-sized sportster, the 4C.
Built around a lightweight carbonfibre and aluminium chassis possibly with input from race car manufacturer, Dallara, the 4C uses the same 200 bhp 1.7 turbocharged four cylinder engine used in the Giulietta but with the power going to the back wheels.
Alfa makes a habit of unveiling show cars in strange paint finishes and the 4C on the Geneva stand was coated in a deep matt red; not a colour to show its lines off to the best effect in my opinion.
But heh, a lightweight, turbo Alfa two-seater. What's not to like?
With luck we'll see it on sale next year.
